Season 27 Game-Changing Highlights

Valkyrie Takes Flight Valkyrie dominates the skies with a completely revamped jetpack—she can take flight quicker and travel further than ever before. Her Missile Swarm tactical now features improved reliability and adds a short recon scan on hit, making her an absolute force for aggressive rotations.

Rampart’s Bunker Upgrade Rampart’s Amped Cover walls now feature a roof for superior bunker setups, and you can charge them up by dealing damage before pushing into battle. Combined with infinite ammo and faster reloads when shooting through amped walls, Rampart transforms from defensive specialist to aggressive controller.

Horizon’s Vertical Mastery Horizon receives upgrades enabling her to either float gracefully off her Gravity Lift or slam quickly to the ground. The tactical ability now has a shorter cooldown, while her Black Hole ultimate boasts increased health for better area denial.

New Movement Mechanics & Map Changes

The revolutionary Mantle Boost mechanic enables all players to perform advanced movement techniques with adjustable on-screen indicators helping achieve perfect timing. This accessibility-focused update bridges the gap between casual and competitive movement skills.

Olympus receives a complete transformation with four new POIs (Points of Interest), redesigned flow patterns, and enhanced positioning opportunities. Tridents get a major tune-up featuring improved handling, better jump capabilities, gliding functions, and speed boosts for more dynamic vehicle gameplay.

Ranked System & Competitive Updates

Respawn is reducing the requirement to earn the Ranked Ladder Champion Dive Trail from 3 completions to 2, making this prestigious reward more attainable while maintaining its status as a mark of consistent top performance. Kill Point values receive balance adjustments making eliminations more rewarding across all placements.

The ranked loot quality across Drop Zones sees improvements for fairer distribution regardless of where you land. Heat Shields have been removed from all Core BR modes (Trios and Duos) following positive outcomes from their Season 26 ranked removal.
