The question on every Anupamaa fan’s mind: How much does the star cast earn? With the show dominating TRP charts since 2020, the salary structure of India’s top-rated daily soap has become a hot topic. Let’s dive into the jaw-dropping per-episode fees of Rupali Ganguly and her co-stars.

Anupamaa Cast Salary Breakdown

Actor	Character	Per Episode Fee	Status
Rupali Ganguly	Anupamaa	₹3 lakh	Active
Gaurav Khanna	Anuj Kapadia	₹1.5 lakh	Exited (2024)
Sudhanshu Pandey	Vanraj Shah	₹1.5 lakh	Exited (2024)
Madalsa Sharma	Kavya	₹50,000-75,000	Active
Alpana Buch	Baa	₹40,000-50,000	Active

Does Rupali Ganguly Earn Double?

Yes! According to industry insiders, Rupali Ganguly commands an impressive ₹3 lakh per episode, which is indeed double what Gaurav Khanna and Sudhanshu Pandey reportedly earned (₹1.5 lakh each). This significant pay gap reflects her central role as the show’s protagonist and the massive success she’s brought to producer Rajan Shahi’s banner.

Anupamaa has consistently topped BARC TRP ratings since its launch, making Rupali one of Indian television’s highest-paid actresses. Her portrayal of a middle-aged woman finding independence has resonated with millions, justifying her premium compensation.

Why Such Different Pay Scales?

The salary structure in Indian television depends on several factors:

Screen Time & Centrality: Rupali’s character drives every storyline, appearing in nearly every scene. Supporting actors like Gaurav and Sudhanshu had substantial but secondary roles.

Star Power: Rupali’s popularity transcends the show itself. Her social media following and brand endorsements add commercial value that producers recognize through higher pay.

Negotiation Power: As per industry standards reported by entertainment portals, lead actors in top-rated shows command 2-3x more than supporting cast, regardless of their screen presence.

Cast Changes and New Dynamics

Both Gaurav Khanna and Sudhanshu Pandey exited Anupamaa in 2024, leading to significant storyline shifts. The show introduced a generational leap with new characters, though Rupali continues as the anchor.
