In the announcement by Blizzard, on the BlizzCon 2023 stage, the company’s Chris Metzen has revealed that they are going to release three expansions. These are from the World of Warcraft and will make up the “Worldsoul Saga”.
In his full throated announcement he has clearly stated that this reveal is just not messing around. And they are genuinely working on the three expansions of the World of Warcraft game. He also shared the dedication of the entire team to establish a thundering heartbeat for the franchise.
This has made one thing clear that players can look forward to new games by World of Warcraft.
The World of Warcraft – Three Expansion Games
The three upcoming World of Warcraft expansion will be as below,
- The War Within
“You will be descending into the heart of Azeroth itself, engaging with ancient cultures, and exploring new subterranean kingdoms, like the Earthen and the terrifying nerubians of Azj-kahet.”
- Midnight
“You will be returning—ready?—to the Old World, to the fabled lands of Quel’Thalas. There, the forces of the void have invaded Azeroth, plunging the world into darkness and fear and intent on snuffing out the light of the Sunwell.”
- The Last Titan
“You will again be returning to the Old World, this time to the wintery lands of Northrend. And there, at Ulduar, you will bear witness to the return of the Titans to Azeroth.”
Metzen has ensured all the audiences and players the game will be launched with superb storyline and character development. In his words, whether you are an existing player of the World of Warcraft game, or played some few expansions, you will enjoy the new expansions.
And if you truly want to ace the games then you have to buckle up and prepare for upcoming suspense, adventure and thrill.
Unlike most World of Warcraft expansions and games, the three new expansions are planned on the oldest locations. So, as a new element they have ditched the idea of brand new continents as the location.
Also in a press release held earlier, Blizzard has provided more information and content for The War Within expansion, expected to be released next year.
In this context they have stated, that deep inside the surface there is an ancient nerubian civilization, which is rising to power. It is aided by the Harbinger of the Void, Xal’atath, which was first introduced in the Legion expansion.
