For months, fans have whispered. Anirudh laughed it off. Kavya stayed silent. But now, a family member has spoken — and the internet is going absolutely wild.

Veteran actor and dramatist Y. Gee. Mahendran, Anirudh Ravichander’s uncle, has effectively confirmed what fans have long suspected: the music sensation and SRH co-owner Kavya Maran are headed to the altar. In a candid interview with KPTV, Mahendran said congratulations are in order, adding that the wedding is “definitely going to happen.”

Anirudh & Kavya Maran: Wedding Updates

Detail	Anirudh Ravichander	Kavya Maran
Age	35	33
Known For	Music composer — Jailer, Leo, King	Co-owner & CEO, Sunrisers Hyderabad (IPL)
Family Connection	Nephew of superstar Rajinikanth (by marriage)	Daughter of media tycoon Kalanithi Maran

What Did Mahendran Actually Say?

Speaking on KPTV, Mahendran didn’t hold back. “From what I’ve heard, they are going to get married. That girl is not just another ordinary girl. She has the capacity to handle such a big team (SRH). She has inherited her father’s business genes,” he said, adding, “They’re a good pair. Both of them should get together and indulge in musical business.”

Strong words from a family insider — and Tamil internet hasn’t been the same since.

What We Know So Far

A winter wedding is expected, with Spain tipped as the destination for the ceremony and Chennai likely to host a grand reception.
Unverified reports allege that superstar Rajinikanth, who is Anirudh’s uncle by marriage, had personally initiated conversations with Kalanithi Maran regarding a potential family alliance.
The rumours first gained momentum after Anirudh and Kavya were spotted together on multiple occasions, including a widely circulated outing in New York.
Anirudh had previously dismissed it all on social media: “Marriage ah? lol… Chill out, guys, pls stop spreading rumours.” — that post is ageing very poorly right now.

Neither Has Confirmed. Yet.

Neither Anirudh nor Kavya has publicly confirmed the speculation so far. Both remain laser-focused on their careers — Anirudh juggling some of the biggest film projects in India right now, and Kavya steering one of the IPL’s most exciting franchises.

But with a family member speaking this openly? The silence may not last much longer.
