Ange Postecoglou earned more points in his first nine games in the Premier League than any other in the competition’s history. The Australian has led Tottenham Hotspur to an undefeated start in the top flight, with the team currently first in the table with 23 points from their first nine games.

They have won seven games and drawn two, and are two points clear of defending champions Manchester City and Arsenal. As a result, they have asserted themselves into the Premier League title race early on, exceeding all expectations.

Son Heung-Min has been used in a number nine role since the departure of Harry Kane, and has excelled in the role. He has scored seven goals thus far, only one behind Erling Haaland of Manchester City.

However, the addition of James Maddison has been immensely effective as well. The former Leicester City midfielder has scored three goals and provided five assists in the Premier League so far. The midfielder was signed for £40 million this summer, and won the Premier League player of the month award in his first month back in the top flight.

With his outstanding run of results to start the season, he has silenced all doubters and has put Spurs as one of the surprise additions to this year’s title race while also changing the culture at the club significantly.
