Andres Ferrari to sign for Villarreal until 2028 today

Uruguayan youngster Andres Ferrari is set to sign for Villarreal imminently. Several European clubs were monitoring the forward, but the La Liga side have won the race for him and he is on his way to Spain to sign for his new club.

Ferrari has agreed a contract with Villarreal until 2028, and will be registered during the summer transfer window. However, the formalities surrounding the transfer will be completed very soon so that the move can be announced.

Andres Ferrari to sign for Villarreal in the summer

Defensor Sporting will receive €2.5 million for the player, who is expected to be Uruguay’s #9 at the U-20 World Cup. He is expected to link up with the youth team at Villarreal, and will occasionally play with the first team. He still has a lot of development to undergo at 20 years of age, and is considered a player for the future.

The 6ft 1in striker has scored five goals and provided two assists in the Uruguayan championship so far. As a result, he has shown that he can find the back of the net consistently. But, European football is a whole new level and it remains to be seen whether Andres Ferrari can adapt to his new surroundings.
