Official OTT Release Details

OTT Platform: Netflix India
Release Date: December 25, 2025
Available Languages: Telugu (Original), with dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.

The movie, which initially hit theaters on November 27, 2025, is transitioning to digital platforms within a month of its release, a common trend for films that seek to maximize their reach after a short theatrical window.

Delving into the Plot and Cast

Directed and written by Mahesh Babu Pachigolla, ‘Andhra King Taluka’ is more than just a typical commercial potboiler; it’s described as a heartfelt homage to the bond between film stars and their most devoted admirers.

The Fan-Star Dynamic

The core narrative revolves around Sagar, played by Ram Pothineni, an ardent fan whose life is entirely shaped by his admiration for his idol, the celebrated superstar Surya Kumar, who is fondly known as ‘Andhra King.’ Kannada star Upendra steps into the pivotal role of Surya Kumar, the cinematic idol in question.

The story takes a dramatic turn when Surya Kumar faces a major financial hurdle in the making of his 100th film, leading the producer to opt out. The plot explores how Sagar’s passionate devotion leads him to intervene, showing a mass appeal that blends action, emotion, and drama, while ultimately teaching the difference between healthy admiration and blind following.

Key Cast and Crew

The film boasts a strong ensemble cast alongside the leads:

Ram Pothineni as Sagar
Upendra as Surya Kumar (‘Andhra King’)
Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead
Supporting Cast: Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, VTV Ganesh, and Rahul Ramakrishna

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film also features music composed by the duo Vivek–Mervin, marking their debut in Telugu cinema.

Why the OTT Release is Crucial

Despite critical praise upon release, ‘Andhra King Taluka’ struggled to meet expectations at the box office, reportedly collecting only ₹32 crores against a budget of ₹56 crore. The digital platform is now seen as the perfect opportunity for the film to find the audience it deserves, especially those who appreciate its unique take on fan culture.

With a clear streaming date now public, the makers and the cast, particularly Ram Pothineni, are undoubtedly hoping for a better and broader reception for this Telugu fan-culture-driven saga on Netflix.

Be sure to mark your calendars for December 25, 2025, to stream this highly discussed action-drama from the comfort of your home.
