What Is Anand Sreebala About?
The story follows Anand, a young man with a troubled past who dreams of joining the Kerala Police. Despite clearing physical tests, he fails medically due to psychiatric issues. Life takes a darker turn when his mother, Sreebala, is murdered by goons — an event that leaves Anand haunted by hallucinations of her, which paradoxically fuel his courage.
His journalist girlfriend (also named Sreebala) is investigating the Merin death case — officially ruled a suicide, but something doesn’t add up. Together, Anand and his girlfriend dig deeper, while the police, led by officer Sankar (Saiju Kurup), run their own parallel investigation. The film builds to the question: Was Merin’s death really a suicide — or a cold-blooded murder?
