AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT Graphics Card officially announced for $379

AMD recently announced the budget Radeon RX 6600 XT at $379 and it did appear that the Red team is targeting the RTX 3060. The GPU comfortably sits between the RTX 3060 and RTX 3060 Ti, now, a recent performance leak goes to prove that as well.

The AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT was paired with a Core i9-10900K and in OpenGL, at 1440p the RX 6600 XT GPU got 104 FPS while the RTX 3060 sports 98 FPS. So, it is a slender win but it lacks behind the likes of RTX 3060 Ti as it captures 112 FPS.

AMD even claims that this new GPU delivers up to 15% higher performance on average with max settings across select AAA titles than the NVIDIA RTX 3060.  It also provides 125 FPS on average across a wide range of modern AAA titles, pushing the boundaries of mainstream gaming by enabling incredible, high-refresh-rate 1080p performance and breathtaking visual fidelity.

Built to keep the AMD RDNA™ 2 architecture at heart, the new Radeon RX 6600 XT offers 32 MB of high-performance AMD Infinity Cache, 8 GB of high-speed GDDR6 memory, AMD Smart Access Memory and other advanced features.  It also supports the new cutting-edge AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution, an open-source spatial upscaling solution, which is designed to boost framerates and deliver high-quality, high-resolution gaming experiences.
