AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D is reportedly only slightly slower than the AMD Ryzen 7 7900X3D

It appears that another official performance slide of the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 3D V-Cache CPU has been leaked by Videocardz before today’s reviews are published. The newest AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D and the top-of-the-line 3D V-Cache CPU, the Ryzen 9 7950X3D, are compared in this new slide for gaming performance.

Every business has a strategy for promoting new products, particularly in this market where gamers place a high value on performance. The fact that prices have decreased doesn’t matter, though, because the market is still flooded with outdated technology due to inflation and the state of the economy. Users want cheaper GPUs and CPUs for their systems, as evidenced by the results of the most recent Steam Survey from last month.

Official benchmarks comparing the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D to the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, the Core i9-13900K, and stock vs. tuned performance have already been released.

Another marketing slide from AMD compares the performance of the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D to the more expensive AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D in a number of the most popular PC games available today.

The newest processor, which costs $449 and is also the least expensive in the lineup of 3D V-Cache CPUs, is now being advertised by AMD as being “only slightly behind the Ryzen 9 7950X3D in gaming.”

The performance in over twenty games ranges between 92% and 113% compared to the Ryzen 9 7950X3D at 1080p High, which seems to be AMD’s choice of game settings for this chip specifically. This is a bold statement from the company, especially given the fact that the media and reviewers have not yet tested the product for themselves.

The AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D will be the genuine replacement for the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, a popular gaming chip ever since it was introduced to the market. With 8 cores, 16 threads, and the same 104 MB of cache (32 MB CCD, 64 MB V-Cache, and 8 MB L2), this CPU will be the best option for gamers. The AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D has a boost clock of 5.0 GHz, which is 400 MHz slower than the Ryzen 7 7700X, and a base clock of about 4 GHz, which could end up being at least 500 MHz slower than the Ryzen 7 7700X.
