If you are an AMD fan out there, 2021 will be the year will never forget as the Red team is preparing to launch a wide range of products you might never have expected. It will include new mobile processors based on Zen 3 architecture along with GPU announcements as well.
Now a new leak suggests AMD might even announce their upcoming Zen 3 based desktop APUs as well at CES 2021. It is because the Ryzen 7 5700G has been spotted on the USB-IF site alongside the Ryzen 9 5980HX, meaning AMD is planning to launch both of them soon.
This makes sense as we know the Ryzen 4000G APUs were launched only for OEMs and to get one of them you had to get a pre-built system. To make amends to the sentiments of gamers, AMD seems to be keen on bringing the exciting ‘Zen 3’ based Cezanne APUs to desktop gamers.
Needless to say how improved this new Zen 3 architecture is and the fantastic improvements it has brought to gaming. So, Zen 3 paired with AMD integrated graphics could indeed be heaven for gamers, but it is unknown whether AMD will stick to Vega graphics or opt of RDNA 2.
If you go by mobile, the Cezanne APUs on laptops have been spotted with Vega iGPU, so it is safe to say AMD will still use Vega iGPU for desktop variants will increased clock speeds. The leak from the USB-IF site shows the Ryzen 7 5700G confirming its existence, and it will most likely come with 8 cores and 16 threads.
Obviously, you won’t have to wait much longer to see what AMD is planning as CES 2021 is just days apart and we will be giving all details of the launch, so stay tuned!
