Amazon India Celebrates ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign

Delivers the National Flag to customers across India

Drive exciting initiatives to promote education, inspiration, and national pride across all platforms

To celebrate India’s 75th Independence Day this year, Amazon.in announced its association with the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, the clarion call from the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India for every house across India to hoist the National Flag from 13th to 15th August.

Celebrating national pride this year, the campaign is directed at transforming the relationship with the Tricolor from formal and institutional to personal; and invoke a sense of ownership in the people and celebrating Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav in the spirit of Jan Bhagidari (community participation). Amazon.in its wide reach across the expanse of the country is delivering these flags to all serviceable pin-codes across India.

The specially curated storefront will support the unique initiative by creating awareness about the history of our National Flag, changes in the flag code as well as do’s & don’ts of handling and hoisting the national flag. Customers will also be able to take a specially curated quiz to test their knowledge about the Indian flag driving education on the flag code, and encouraging customers to purchase and hoist the Indian flag at their homes.

The store front will also feature select offers for the customers who can access the storefront from multiple touchpoints across the site i.e., on the homepage, in the game center, through category pages as well as social media channels such as Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.

Commenting on the initiative, Manish Tiwary, Country Manager-India Consumer Business, Amazon India said, “It is a great honour to be a part of the celebrations for 75 years of India’s independence and contribute to the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. We are excited to support the Government of India in this special initiative and are curating a special feature an ‘Independent Spirt of India’ theme and stories of our SMB sellers on 15th Aug. We are delivering all flags purchased across our network, and whether our customer is in Ladakh or in Kanyakumari, our trained delivery staff will get selected products delivered to their home within a day. Our delivery partners have been trained on the proper handling and delivery of the national property. Besides participating in Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, Amazon.in will be engaging customers to spread excitement and cheer around the Independence Day celebrations.
