Recent reports are saying the global smartwatch market faces a 20% YoY growth in the H1 2020. Apple becomes the leader, but other brands like Huami is not far behind, it also faces the same. At the same time, its Amazfit application renamed on Play Store.
If you are one of the Amazfit owners, then you definitely use the Amazfit companion app that just gets a new name. The name is Zepp and it’s quite surprising. Well, the app description explains the whole thing.
It reads the decision is made “To bring a more comprehensive and professional health management experience to a wider audience”. Besides, it is also come to know that the Amazfit app will be officially renamed on 25th August along with a new icon. Despite the changes, all the Amazfit devices will wok the same with the updated one as earlier.
Zepp is basically a company known for its work with sports accessories and sensors. So many apps are available on Play Store for its different sensors for sports such as soccer, golf, tennis, etc. And most importantly, these apps are developing by Anhui Huami Information Technology Co. Ltd.
It seems Huami is planning to marge all the apps together so that the Zepp app can work for both the Zepp sensors as well as Amazfit devices.
