In a recent interview, Aman Gupta, co-founder and CMO of boAt Lifestyle, stirred up a storm on social media by sharing his experience with a Bollywood actor who, despite having a public image of humility, displayed arrogance behind the scenes. The revelation has sparked widespread speculation, with fans trying to guess the identity of the actor in question.

The Viral Comment by Aman Gupta That Started It All

Aman Gupta, along with fellow entrepreneur Anupam Mittal, appeared on the popular YouTube podcast Dostcast. During the conversation, Gupta shared an anecdote about a Bollywood actor who was once a brand ambassador for boAt.

In a now-viral clip, Aman Gupta said:

“Ek actor tha. Humara brand ambassador tha. Itni akad thi usme…aur news me main padta tha wo kitna sweet hai. Dekho, reporter se kitna acche se baat karta hai. Media se kitna acche se baat karta hai. Dekho zara ye economy class me jaa raha hai. Humaare sath itni akad dikhata tha.”
(Translation: There was an actor who was our brand ambassador. He was so full of himself… and in the news, I would read about how sweet he was. “Look how nicely he talks to reporters. See how well he interacts with the media. Oh, look, he’s travelling in economy class.” But with us, he would show so much arrogance.)

Aman Gupta went on to say:

“Mujhe samajh aa gaya tha ki logon ne humble hone ka art master kar liya hai.”
(Translation: That’s when I realized people have mastered the art of being humble.)

He also expressed his belief that over time, people can see through the facade:

“Indian junta bahot smart hai. Unhe samajh aa jata hai kaun real hai, kaun asli me humble hai, kaun asli me akdu hai.”
(Translation: The Indian public is very smart. They figure out who is real, who is genuinely humble, and who is actually arrogant.)

Aman Gupta Calls Out an ‘Arrogant’ Bollywood Actor: Who Is He Talking About?

The clip has gone viral, amassing over 1.4 million views, and social media users have been busy speculating about the identity of the actor. Some of the most popular guesses include:

Kartik Aaryan: Many users pointed out that Kartik Aaryan is often praised for his humility and has been spotted traveling in economy class, which aligns with Gupta’s comments.
- “That is Kartik Aaryan. That was the news that he is so humble that he is travelling in economy,” wrote one user.
Ranveer Singh: Others speculated that the actor could be Ranveer Singh, known for his larger-than-life personality and media-friendly demeanor.
- “Maybe it can be Ranveer Singh also?” suggested another user.
Diljit Dosanjh: A few users guessed Diljit Dosanjh, but others quickly dismissed this theory, pointing out that the Punjabi singer-actor rarely travels economy class.

The Bigger Picture: The Art of Public Perception

Aman Gupta’s comments highlight a larger issue in the entertainment industry: the gap between public personas and private behavior. While some celebrities are genuinely humble, others may cultivate an image of humility for the cameras while behaving differently in private.

Gupta’s statement, “People have mastered the art of being humble,” resonates with many who feel that public figures often project curated versions of themselves to maintain their popularity.

However, as Gupta pointed out, the Indian audience is perceptive and can often see through the facade. Over time, authenticity tends to shine through, and those who are genuinely humble are recognized for it.

Why This Matters

This incident serves as a reminder that public perception isn’t always reality. For brands, it’s a lesson in choosing ambassadors who align with their values not just publicly but also behind the scenes. For fans, it’s a call to look beyond the surface and recognize that celebrities, like everyone else, are human and flawed.

Final Thoughts: Who Do You Think It Is?

While Aman Gupta didn’t name the actor, his comments have certainly sparked a lively debate. Whether it’s Kartik Aaryan, Ranveer Singh, or someone else entirely, the story has left fans curious and eager to uncover the truth.
