Alia Bhatt and Sharvari’s “Alpha” is entering its final theatrical stretch, and the numbers confirm what trade watchers feared early on — this YRF spy film won’t be the hit its budget demanded.

Alpha : The Numbers Behind The Fade-Out

The film added just Rs. 1 to 1.20 crore in its third weekend, pushing the total to Rs. 54.75 crore nett in India. At this pace, “Alpha” is expected to close its entire run around Rs. 56 crore.

Period	Collection (Nett)
Week 1	Rs. 45.25 crore
2nd Friday–Thursday	Rs. 8.20 crore combined
3rd Weekend (est.)	Rs. 1–1.20 crore
Total	Rs. 54.75 crore

Why This Is Being Called A Disaster For The Brand

For a big-budget YRF spy film starring two major actresses, this closing figure is being viewed as a poor outcome — one that would have needed strong word-of-mouth to turn around, which never materialized. Female-led action films have historically had a tough time drawing audiences in India, making “Alpha” a risky bet from the start.

Adding to the pressure, the YRF Spy Universe itself has been struggling, following underwhelming results from “Tiger 3” and, more notably, “War 2.” Against that backdrop, simply getting “Alpha” off the ground despite the odds is being seen as a small silver lining rather than a triumph.
