Akash Deep wins fans’ hearts with incredible gesture in 5th Test

Even though Akash Deep did not make it to the playing eleven for India’s fifth Test against England in Dharamshala, his actions off the field captured the audience’s affection on March 7. While he was walking nearby the boundary line, carrying some water bottles, he overheard a group of fans requesting water.

Without hesitation, Deep graciously tossed one of the bottles towards the eager fans, one of whom caught it. This simple yet heartwarming gesture earned him a round of applause from the touched spectators as he continued his way off the field. Despite being sidelined for this match to allow Jasprit Bumrah’s return to the team after missing the Ranchi Test, Deep’s considerate act showed his memorable contribution, regardless of his playing status.

Check out the results at the end of Day 1 here.
