AK 47 Finally Has a Date: Venkatesh and Trivikram Reunite on October 30

After a few false starts, the wait is nearly over. Venkatesh Daggubati has confirmed that Aadarsha Kutumbam House No: 47, better known as AK 47, will arrive in theatres on October 30, 2026. It’s the actor’s first reunion with director Trivikram Srinivas in two decades, which makes the date change easier to forgive.

AK 47 : Overview

Why the Date Kept Moving?

The film was first set for October 2, then shifted to October 9, and was later delayed again because post-production work was still pending. Venkatesh announced the final date on social media. He said that working with “Srinu” after two decades feels special, and he promised a wholesome entertainer with fun, action and plenty more. He ended with a Dussehra greeting and an invitation to come to theatres with family and friends.

The Story and the Hero

Venkatesh plays Chittibabu, a husband who goes house-hunting with his wife. As she explores the property and makes humorous observations, Chittibabu emerges as the ideal family man. That sets the stage for a blend of comedy, family drama and action. Fans of the actor’s family-entertainer streak, which has made him a favourite with audiences, should feel right at home. Cast and Crew

Srinidhi Shetty plays the female lead. The supporting cast includes Nara Rohith, Nivetha Pethuraj, Yuvina, Raj Prajwal, Rao Ramesh, Satya, Brahmaji, Udaybir Sandhu and Vennela Kishore. Behind the camera, Ravi K. Chandran handles cinematography and Sreekar Prasad handles editing.

What’s Next for Venkatesh?

After AK 47, Venkatesh will share the screen with Nandamuri Kalyan Ram in a film directed by Anil Ravipudi. Titled January 12 Vidudala, it is set for release on January 12, 2027, in time for Sankranti. Keerthy Suresh and Krithi Shetty are the female leads. It was his last release, Sankranthiki Vasthunam, that kept the family-comedy momentum going.
