Bollywood was buzzing when reports surfaced that Ajay Devgn was set to reunite with director Om Raut for a film on an unsung Indian hero. The duo’s previous collaboration, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior (2020), was a massive hit — critically and commercially. So, naturally, fans were thrilled. But here’s the thing: it’s not happening. At least not right now.
Ajay Devgn’s team has officially denied all such reports, calling them “baseless and entirely untrue.”
What’s the Official Word?
A joint statement from Ajay Devgn’s spokesperson and Devgn Films made it crystal clear:
“There are currently no such discussions or collaborations taking place with the director. Both Ajay Devgn and Om Raut are presently working on their respective commitments.”
The statement also urged media platforms to verify information before publishing. A firm, no-nonsense response — very on-brand for the Singham star.
Ajay Devgn & Om Raut: Overview
| Detail | Info |

| Previous Film | Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior (2020) |
| Budget | ~₹125 crore |

Tanhaji remains one of Bollywood’s most celebrated historical biographical films, blending patriotism with grand cinematic scale. Its success made a reunion feel almost inevitable — which is exactly why the rumor caught fire so fast.
What Sparked the Rumor?
On Tanhaji‘s 6th release anniversary, Ajay Devgn posted a cryptic message in Marathi: “The fort has been captured, but the lion is lost, but the story isn’t over yet…” Fans read it as a tease for a sequel or a new collaboration with Om Raut. Speculation ran wild. Turns out, no official plans were ever in motion.
