Global technology firm Acer (https://www.acer.com/in-en/) has announced its entry into India’s travel accessories market with the launch of a new range of smart luggage. The move marks a diversification for Acer, a company with nearly five decades in technology, into the lifestyle sector by introducing travel solutions combining design, materials, and functionality.

The new portfolio, which became available on April 29, 2026, includes models such as the Melbourne, Melbourne Plus, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Brisbane, and Predator series. These are offered in carry-on, medium, and large sizes to address varying travel requirements, from short excursions to extended journeys.

Acer Product Features Emphasize Durability and Convenience

The newly introduced luggage line integrates several design features aimed at enhancing ease of use, storage efficiency, and structural durability. Across the collection, suitcases incorporate expandable compartments, organized interior layouts, smooth mobility systems, and secure locking mechanisms.

Melbourne Series: Constructed from multi-layer polycarbonate, these models feature reinforced anti-collision corners and aluminum alloy telescopic handles. They are equipped with spinner wheels and TSA-approved locks.

Melbourne Plus Series: Building on the Melbourne design, this series adds aluminum alloy bumper corners for increased impact resistance and expandable storage. It utilizes 360-degree silent wheels and TSA-approved locks, with select models offering smart interior layouts including dry and wet compartments.

Barcelona Series: This line introduces a front-opening design for quick access to essentials, particularly useful in confined spaces. The front compartment includes a dedicated laptop protection layer and organized pockets. Acer highlights that these suitcases are crafted using eco-friendly recycled polyester (rPET).

Copenhagen Series: Features a dual-opening (top and mid) structure designed for convenient retrieval of frequently used items without full unpacking. These models also include nesting capabilities for storage.

Brisbane Series: Combines top-opening and mid-opening accessibility with expandable storage, aiming to maximize packing capacity while maintaining mobility.

Predator Series: Positioned at the premium end, these suitcases feature a reinforced polycarbonate frame structure, offering enhanced durability and a professional aesthetic.

All models across the range are equipped with high-performance spinner wheels, ergonomic handles, and secure locking systems.
