AB de Villiers calls Rashid Khan “the greatest T20 player of all time”

Now, the great man has picked his greatest T20 player of all time. It’s the Afghanistan spin star, Rashid Khan.

AB de Villiers had a great time at RCB with Virat Kohli and the bond they share is super enjoyed by the cricket world. The great Indian batter is the highest run scorer in the T20 format (4008) and in the IPL (6411). On the other hand, the Jamaican star batter Chris Gayle has made fans elated over the years with his batting spark, having achieved 14,000 T20 runs across all formats.

Keeping these stats in mind, De Villiers has picked the 24-year-old Rashid Khan as an all-time great in the T20 format. Speaking about the same, he has praised Khan’s extraordinary three-dimensional contribution to the field and his competitive attitude. 

What did he say about the 24-year-old Afgan star?

Praising Khan, de Villiers said, 

“My greatest T20 player of all time is none other than Rashid Khan. He delivers with bat and ball. He is match-winner in both departments; he is a livewire in the field and has got the heart of a lion. He always wants to win; he is very competitive, and he’s right there with one of the best T20 players. Not one of the best, the best.”
