‘A Matter of Time’: First On-Set Photos Reveal Ben Stiller and Co. Filming in London

Netflix’s fantasy-romance A Matter of Time is officially rolling cameras, and exclusive first-look photos from Clerkenwell, East London, are giving fans their earliest glimpse of the cast in character. Between a sharply dressed Ben Stiller and a chaotic dash down cobblestone steps, the images are already sparking plenty of theories.

What the Set Photos Revealed

Reading Between the Frames

Filming took place around a local pub and a church marked “Saint Peter’s Community Centre,” with Stiller’s sharp suit standing in visual contrast to Galitzine and Maclean’s casual, everyday styling. That contrast is fueling speculation about who’s playing the “unlikely angel” sent to convince a reclusive man to give up his life — a premise Netflix has already confirmed in its official synopsis.

The Team Behind the Camera

Director Harry Bradbeer, celebrated for his Emmy-winning work on Fleabag, leads a screenplay written by a team that includes Oscar winner Simon Beaufoy. Sony Pictures produces alongside Debra Hayward and Larry Mark, giving the project serious pedigree behind the scenes — reminiscent of how Fleabag itself blended sharp writing with unconventional storytelling.

When Will It Release?

With production still underway this summer, Netflix hasn’t confirmed a release date, but a standard production timeline points to a mid-to-late 2027 premiere.
