We have seen a lot of leaks about the upcoming flagship Qualcomm mobile chipsets – Snapdragon 898 and Snapdragon 895. However, leaks suggest upcoming smartphones are coming with these chips onboard will launch sooner than expected.

Codenamed as SM8450 ‘Waipio’ will be the successor to the Snapdragon 888 (SM8350) which is rumoured to be using Samsung’s 4nm process while as per rumours Snapdragon 895 could end up using TSMC’s 4nm process and will be equipped with an X65 modem.

Renowned tipster digital chat station, a large wave of SM8450 powered devices will be coming for the record, and then Xiaomi’s first model is currently tentatively scheduled for mid-December.

Because of using a 4nm process, the performance has drastically improved by up to 20% as per early sample leaks. While the GPU has been upgraded from the Adreno 660 to the Adreno 730, compared to the Snapdragon 888, while the next-generation SM8450 will be using the Arm v9 architecture. Qualcomm’s SM8450 will be made according to the 1 x 3 x 4 configuration similar to its predecessor.

ITHome reports that the upcoming Xiaomi’s Mi 12 series is expected to debut with Qualcomm’s next-generation flagship processors while using high-quality display specs to be equipped with off-screen camera technology.
