The Double Life at the Heart of the Story

Kong Hyo Jin stars as Yu Bo Na, an unassuming manager at Durumi Electronics who’s secretly the legendary sniper known as “Kingfisher.” On the outside, she’s a devoted wife and mother; behind closed doors, she eliminates criminals who’ve slipped through the cracks of justice. Having just returned to work after three years of maternity leave, she’s back to balancing spreadsheets by day and covert missions by night.

When Her Husband Is the One Chasing Her

The twist that raises the stakes: Yu Bo Na’s husband, Kwon Tae Sung, played by Jung Jun Won, is a reporter actively investigating the very Kingfisher cases his wife is behind. The newly unveiled poster captures the couple in a warm, affectionate embrace — but the tagline says it all, with Yu Bo Na declaring, “I’m not worried. Because I’m not going to get caught.”

Why This Drama Is One to Watch

Kong Hyo Jin, known for a string of acclaimed film and television roles detailed further on her Wikipedia page, is marking her first MBC drama appearance in 15 years with this project — a significant comeback that’s already generating buzz. Paired with Jung Jun Won and adapted from a popular webtoon, A Bona Fide Killer blends domestic drama with high-stakes action in a way few K-dramas have attempted recently.
