Fresh leaks have revealed exciting camera upgrades coming to Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 series, expected to launch in January 2026. The latest information suggests significant improvements across all three models, with the Ultra variant leading the charge with impressive photography capabilities.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Series Camera Specifications Leaked

Key Camera Upgrades

The Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature a 200MP main camera with 5x optical zoom, representing a significant upgrade from previous generations. The second 50-megapixel sensor is claimed to have 8x zoom and 184mm focal length, an upgrade over the 50-megapixel 5x on the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Internal Codenames Revealed

Samsung’s internal codenames for the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra are NPA1, NPA2, and NPA3, respectively. NPA stands for ‘Next Paradigm’, indicating Samsung’s commitment to revolutionary camera technology.

Enhanced Photography Experience

The Galaxy S26 series promises to deliver professional-grade photography with improved sensor technology. The Galaxy S26 Ultra has already been rumored to come with a 200MP camera, but none of these earlier leaks claimed it would be a larger sensor or a Sony one, making this development particularly exciting for photography enthusiasts.

What This Means for Users

These camera upgrades suggest Samsung is positioning the Galaxy S26 series as a serious competitor in the premium smartphone photography market. The enhanced zoom capabilities and larger sensors should deliver better image quality, especially in challenging lighting conditions.

The Galaxy S26 series is expected to officially launch in early 2026, with Samsung likely to reveal more details closer to the launch date.
