Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra Debuts in China with Flagship Xring 01 Chip, 14-inch OLED & ₹68,000 Starting Price
As the flagship model of the Pad 7 series, the Pad 7 Ultra came after the Xiaomi Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro were released. For now, only the Pad 7 is available in India, and the Ultra could also be exclusive to China for now. We haven’t heard from Xiaomi on when it will be available in other markets. In China, the tablet goes on sale the day it’s unveiled, as they say: same as with the 15S Pro. As for the specs, the Pad 7 Ultra features a 14-inch Super OELD display with a high 120Hz refresh rate and narrow 3.95mm bezels.
The tablet is impressively slim at 5.1mm and weighs 609 grams, indicating that the company is serious about taking on Samsung in terms of design and finish. The power under the hood of the tablet is up to 16GB of RAM and an internal storage that goes up to 512GB. It comes with a large 12,000mAh battery, and it will allow for super-fast 120W charging, promising quick top-ups. The most distinctive of all is the processor itself, as the Pad 7 Ultra naturally uses the in-house made Xiaomi Xring 01 chipset.
Manufactured using TSMC’s advanced 3-nanometre process, the chip features a 10-core CPU and a 16-core Immortalis-G925 GPU, designed to compete with top-tier Qualcomm and MediaTek processors. The tablet runs Xiaomi’s custom HyperOS software, though further technical details about the chip and software experience are yet to be revealed.
