The Radeon RX 9060 XT: What You Need to Know

The Radeon RX 9060 XT is the first entry in AMD’s RX 9060 series, positioned below the higher-end RX 9070 GPUs. It’s built around the Navi 44 GPU, a smaller and more cost-effective chip than the Navi 48 found in the 9070 series, making it ideal for mainstream gamers.

This new GPU packs a punch with 32 Compute Units, translating to 2048 cores. It also includes 32 RT accelerators for ray tracing and 64 AI accelerators, bringing advanced features to a more accessible price point.

One of the most striking features of the RX 9060 XT is its clock speed. Leveraging TSMC’s 4nm process technology, the GPU can reach boost clocks of up to 3.13 GHz right out of the box, with custom models expected to push even higher. This makes it one of the fastest-clocked GPUs available.

The RX 9060 XT will be available in two configurations: an 8 GB variant and a 16 GB variant. Both will feature a 128-bit memory bus interface and utilize 20 Gbps GDDR6 memory. While the memory configuration is similar to some of its competitors, the competitive pricing and performance aim to make it a compelling option for gamers.
