Valorant update 10.09 has arrived, bringing the long-awaited nerfs to Tejo along with a minor adjustment to Breach’s stun. Here’s a summary of the key changes. Tejo, Valorant’s Colombian Initiator, who was released in early 2025, proved quite strong due to his Guided Salvo and Armageddon.
Shortly after, players began to share their grievances about him, primarily about his rockets being a hard counter for Killjoy’s Lockdown. Riot already nerfed Guided Salvo to ensure Lockdown could live on 5 HP here, but additional adjustments have been made in patch 10.09.

Valorant 10.09 Patch Nerfs Tejo’s Rockets, Adjusts Ability Costs, Buffs Breach’s Stun, and Adds Gift Changes
The most impactful update for Tejo comes in the form of the revamp of Guided Salvo. It recharges now differently, not like before, being like Skye’s Guiding Light. It instead uses charges per rocket, has no cooldown, and a lower map targeting range (from 55m down to 45m). This nerf should make it difficult for Tejo to blow his rockets multiple times for free, and not too much of a trade-off to empower himself during the rounds.
The activation costs of Tejo have been modified for all of his skills: Stealth Drone now costs 400 (it was 300), special delivery costs 200 (it was 300), and Armageddon’s ultimate now requires a 9-orb instead of 8 to cast. Breach also gets a minor buff to his Fault Line stun. The time before the mine detonates has been raised from 1 second to 1.2 seconds, so players have more time to avoid being stunned if they don’t stand in the blast center.
Other updates include a doubling in daily gift limits from 5 to 10, starting May 15, tied into the Give Back // V25 Collection that helps charity. We’re evening out the starting ultimate points in Swiftplay mode to more accurately reflect ultimate cost for select agents such as Breach, Killjoy, and Viper. Lastly, several cosmetic bugs have been fixed or acknowledged, including issues with the Bolt skinline’s brightness and kill banner sizes, with further fixes planned for upcoming patches.
