NBA followers in the Indian Subcontinent will be highly disappointed to know that the league is yet to crack a deal in this region. A few of the opening games were scheduled on Wednesday morning (5:30 IST) but the world’s biggest basketball league is yet to get a broadcast partner in India.

Sony Pictures Network, who has been broadcasting the NBA in India since the last few years, has not yet renewed the deal. Other than this, FanCode who was also live streaming games last season will not be streaming NBA Games as of now.

The NBA’s reduced 72-game regular season began on December 22. The only way for Indian fans to catch the Live Streaming of the games is by buying an NBA LEAGUE PASS.

For the 2020-21 season, the official NBA app and NBA.com desktop site have been upgraded and the league has confirmed additional alternative streams for certain games within the NBA League Pass over-the-top (OTT) platform, interactive game overlays and an option to download matches to view offline.

NBA TV and US-based League Please subscribers have an option of ‘NBA BetStreams’, where league partners such as Action Network, Bleacher Report and Yahoo Sports have taken over gambling-centric broadcasts, with overlays featuring betting odds displayed throughout the time.

‘Sideline Stream’ has returned after a successful run during the Orlando bubble. It includes popular alternate angles such as Courtside Cam and Rail Cam. ‘Influencers Stream’ has also been retained, which shows popular social media personalities present a weekly game on League Pass.
