Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho is interested to sign RB Leipzig midfielder Marcel Sabitzer in the January transfer window. The Spurs manager was impressed by the midfielder last season when RB Leipzig knocked out Tottenham Hotspur in last season’s UEFA Champions League.
As per some recent reports Tanguy Ndombele is under FC Barcelona’s radar. Spurs is already in search of a replacement for him. Sabitzer can be a suitable option.
Marcel Sabitzer is a very talented player. He possesses a real goal-scoring ability. He was excellent in his last season with RB Leipzig where the German club had a dream run towards the semi-final of UEFA Champions League.
The Austrian international has played 194 games for the Bundesliga side and scored 43 goals for them in his career.
However, the Austrian told, “If I’ve read my contract correctly, it will run until 2022 – another 18 months. Everything else will be seen.”
“[We have a] job, we have a game every three days and that’s exhausting enough.”
“The club once said that there would not be contract negotiations during the season.”
“So, I am fully focused on a successful season and I have zero ideas of what is going to happen at some point.”
Sabitzer’s contract will end in 2022. Tottenham is considering to offer £45m for Saibtzer to RB Leipzig.
Tottenham Hotspurs recently struggled against Liverpool and Leicester City in the Premier League. Sabitzer will surely be a good addition to the squad.
