CMF Phone 2 Teased with Design Changes, Triple Cameras

The CMF Phone 2 — expected to follow last year’s distinctive CMF Phone 1 — may be launching soon with a refreshed design. The Nothing sub-brand is starting to tease the second-generation smartphone and has now shown us what appears to be the back panel of its forthcoming device. According to the newest teaser, the phone is smartly teased to have a unique matte finish. According to previous reports, CMF Phone 2 will come with a triple rear camera setup.

CMF Phone 2 Teased Ahead of Launch with Design Tweaks and Triple Camera Setup

On April 5th, CMF shared a glimpse of the rear panel of the purported Phone 2 in a post on X (formerly Twitter). In a short video, the device’s plastic edges are apparent and a screw holding the new rear is clearly visible. The entire back panel is a glossy surface mixed with a matte texture.

The teaser does not mention if the rear panel is made of plastic or aluminum. The existing CMF Phone 1 has a polycarbonate back, which is also available in a vegan leather finish in the blue variant. CMF by Nothing logo is also shown on the bottom left, where its appearance changes as the light hits it from different angles.

Leaks also suggest that the CMF Phone 2 will feature a triple rear camera system — a possible upgrade from the Phone 1’s 50MP primary and portrait sensors. A recent leak of the full rear design of the phone shows one side of the phone that matches what was shown in the official teaser.

Another key feature carried over to the CMF Phone 2 is the Accessory Point system, allowing users to attach accessories such as a stand, card holder, or lanyard. Leaks confirm that this feature will remain part of the new model. The CMF Phone 2 is expected to include modest hardware improvements over its predecessor, which featured a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chip, and a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging.
