The 108th Roses Derby belonged to Manchester United. Manchester United thrashed their rival Leeds united at home by 6-2.
The Red Devils were excellent from the very first minute of the game. Scott Mctominay gave Manchester United a great start with two thumping finishes in the first 3 minutes of the game. The Norweigan became the first player in the Premier League to score a brace between the first 3 minutes of the game.
Bruno Fernandes and Victor Lindelof joined the party in the 20th and 37th minutes of the game respectively. Leeds United pulled one back from a corner, guided to the goal by Liam Cooper in the 41st minute.
In the second half United started extremely well. Daniel James scored his 2nd Premier League goal this season. After that Bruno made it six from the spot in the 70th minute. Stuart Dallas scored a consolation goal for Leeds in the 73rd minute.
There are matches where the manager wins it hands down because of his brilliant reading of the game and tactics. Today Ole Gunnar Solskjaer won the tactical battle perfectly against Bielsa.
Ole benched Pogba and Greenwood and kept his faith in Fred, McTominay, and Daniel James. It helped him to deal with the fast movement of Leeds United and also capitalize on the counter-attacks.
