Samsung has launched its Galaxy S20 series as well as the S20 FE this year. But, when the S20 trio started receiving the One UI 3.0 + Android 11 update, the Fan Edition of S20 was left out. As per the reports, it was scheduled that The Galaxy S20 FE will start to receive that update from February 2021. But surprisingly, the One UI 3.0 + Android 11 update for this phone is now rolling out in Russia. Apart from it, the Galaxy Note 20 series also started getting the Android 11 updates. Both the smartphones of this series, Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra have started getting the updates in Slovakia. As per sources, it will probably expand to other countries very soon.
This update also comes with the December 2020 security patch for both the Galaxy S20 FE and the Galaxy Note20 Duo. For the unknown, the S20 FE from Samsung has two different models with two different chipsets: one is powered by the Exynos process whereas the other one is powered by the 5G Snapdragon chipset. More precisely, this latest Android 11 update is exclusively available for the Exynos powered smartphone. No information regarding the SD powered unit as Samsung doesn’t sell this in Russia.
The new Galaxy S20 FE features a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate to provide a smooth scrolling experience. This phone is powered by the flagship Snapdragon 865 processor, same as other S20 devices, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 265GB of internal storage. Coming to the camera, on the rear side, users will get a triple camera setup having a 12MP Ultra Wide lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 12MP Wide camera of f/1.8 aperture, and an 8MP Telephoto sensor with f/2.4 aperture. In the front, there is a 32MP camera for selfies.
Along with all of these specs, the Galaxy S20 FE is packed with a 4,500mAh battery, wireless charging and reverse charging facility, 25W fast charging support, IP68 rating, memory expandability of up to 1TB, and so on.
