Realme is planning a big event for MWC 2025, where it will launch the Realme 14 Pro series globally. These smartphones, introduced in India and China earlier, will be making their global debut at this event, and Realme will announce worldwide pricing and availability at the event.

However, even bigger than that is Realme’s teaser for an upcoming “Ultra” flagship that looks set to shake up smartphone photography. The company has teased state-of-the-art camera tech, and leaks indicate it might be the next big thing rather than yet another flagship.

Realme’s ‘Ultra’ Flagship Promises DSLR-Quality Photography Ahead of MWC 2025 Reveal

The teaser flaunts a large circular camera module that packs in an impressive array of sensors and, as is likely, a massive sensor with enhanced zoom technology. Realme’s Vice President Chase Xu has already shared a post comparing portrait shots at 10x zoom between this mysterious device and two other flagship models. The outcome implies that Realme’s Ultra phone is better known for enhanced clarity and background separation with a strong recommendation of periscope zoom or advanced computational photography.

Heightening speculation, Realme Global has come out with a teaser video that promises “true DSLR-level” smartphone photography from the Ultra flagship. It’s even said the device would use interchangeable lenses—a rare innovation in the smartphone market. Whether or not this foray represents an actual product launch or is just a technology demonstrator remains unclear, but Realme clearly wants to encroach further into the mobile photography space.

As well as the Ultra flagship, Realme is also introducing the 14 Pro series globally. Having previously been launched in India, these devices are now set to be revealed to consumers in international markets, with Realme likely to announce regional pricing and availability at MWC 2025. With both the 14 Pro series and the mysterious Ultra flagship, Realme is making a bold statement about its ambitions in the premium smartphone segment.
