Infinix Smart 9 HD India Launch Date and Live Image Revealed

Infinix Smart 9 HD is all set to launch in India on January 28, after being slightly delayed from its earlier rumored mid-January release. Tipster Sudhanshu has shared the information and a live image of the smartphone that will come in two colors on 91mobiles. The official teasers for the device will also start pouring in as the launch date approaches.

The Infinix Smart 9 HD will succeed the Infinix Smart 8 HD, which made its debut in December 2023. The new phone also appeared in Coral Gold and Mint Green colors added to Metallic Black and Neo Titanium. It retains the rounded edges and a square camera module with a pair of sensors and an LED flash that closely resembles its predecessor, although there have been a couple of tweaks to the flash arrangement. It also features a glossy back that’s designed to provide a premium look and feel.

Claimed to be the toughest phone in its category, the Infinix Smart 9 HD has allegedly been through several durability tests like a six-side drop test from a height of 1.5 meters and more than 2,50,000 drop tests. The back features a multilayer glass design with a color-coordinated body frame and dual speakers with DTS Audio Processing for an improved audio experience, if true. The Infinix Smart 9 HD has yet to have any of its specs detailed, but it is likely to come with other improvements over its predecessor.

The Infinix Smart 8 HD, priced at ₹6,999, features a 6.6-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, Unisoc T606 chipset, and 5,000mAh battery making it an entry-level offering. The Smart 9 HD could potentially build on these features to provide even better value. With its blend of durability, premium design, and expected improvements, the Infinix Smart 9 HD aims to make its mark in the competitive budget smartphone segment.
