We have seen many rumors going on about Nvidia’s upcoming RTX 3000 series graphics cards. It is also being said that the green team plans on releasing a series of cards between its RTX 3050 up to the RTX 3080 Ti series. According to sources, NVIDIA has originally planned to unveil three RTX 30 cards. But now the company has announced that it will instead launch four cards, with the RTX 3060 Ti being the new edition.
The edition of RTX 3060 Ti could very well mean that the rumors about Nvidia releasing a series of cards might very well be true. But we know that earlier, the company was supposed to also have a 20 GB edition of the RTX 3080 and a 16 GB version of the RTX 3070 planned, but these rumors were all short-lived.
MSI has submitted eight RTX 3080 20 GB SKUs to the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). According to sources, MSI plans to relaunch its Sea Hawk and Aero series. The list contains multiple SKUs from both series. The RTX 3080 20 GB SKUs in the list are as follows:
- RTX 3080 SUPRIM Z 20G
- RTX 3080 SUPRIM X 20G
- RTX 3080 SUPRIM 20G
- RTX 3080 SEA HAWK X 20G
- RTX 3080 GAMING TRIO 20G
- RTX 3080 AERO 20G

For now MSI has registered the names of eight RTX 3080 20 GB SKUs. But we don’t know for a fact whether the company plans to release them. But Nvidia’s upcoming hardware announcement plan for January 2021 indicates that the green team has bunch of new cards to announce. Hopefuly we will get to see an RTX 3080 20 GB variant.
