OPPO Find N5 Receives NBTC Certification, Set for February Launch with Key Upgrades
The image shows the Find N5 on the left and the Find N3 on the right. The Find N5 is said to be the world’s thinnest foldable phone and features the large round camera module of its predecessor. However, Oppo has made changes to the camera sensor and LED flash placement on the N5. The camera layout is similar to the OnePlus 13, with an LED flash located in the bottom-right corner, and a periscope telephoto camera in the upper-right corner.
In comparison, the Find N3 positions the LED flash outside the camera module. A mock-up render of the Find N5 offers a better sense of what its final design might be like. Folded the N5 would supposedly be around 9mm thick, while unfolded it would be approximately 4mm thick. For reference, the Find X8 has a 7.9mm thickness.
According to the specs, the Find N5 will boast a titanium build with IPX8 water and dust protection, Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, a 5,700mAh battery with 50W magnetic wireless charging, a 2K resolution internal display, a 50MP main camera, as well as a 50MP periscope telephoto with 3x optical zoom.
Along with its Chinese launch, the Find N5 is expected to arrive in Southeast Asian markets and has already obtained multiple certifications, including approval from Thailand’s NBTC authority. The device may be rebranded as the OnePlus Open 2 for markets like the US, Europe, and India.
