The OnePlus Watch 3 series is shaping up to be a major leap forward in wearable technology. A recent teardown of the OHealth app has revealed a treasure trove of exciting features that are likely coming to the new smartwatches. From ECG functionality to wrist temperature monitoring and a 60-second health checkup, the OnePlus Watch 3 lineup is set to redefine health tracking.

Here’s everything we’ve uncovered so far about the OnePlus Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro:

1. ECG Functionality: Advanced Heart Health Monitoring

One of the standout features discovered in the OHealth app is ECG (electrocardiogram) support. This feature will allow the OnePlus Watch 3 to detect heart conditions such as:

Atrial fibrillation (Afib)
Frequent PVCs (premature ventricular contractions)
High or low heart rates

The app screenshots suggest that users can access ECG readings directly on the watch or through the OHealth app, provided their phone meets certain requirements. This addition puts the OnePlus Watch 3 in direct competition with premium smartwatches like the Apple Watch and Samsung Galaxy Watch.

2. Wrist Temperature Monitoring

Another exciting feature is wrist temperature measurement, which could be a game-changer for health tracking. To establish a baseline, users will need to wear the watch while sleeping for at least five days, with one sleep session lasting four or more hours. This feature could help users monitor changes in body temperature, which is often an early indicator of illness or stress.

3. 60-Second Health Checkup

The 60-second Checkup is another innovative addition to the OnePlus Watch 3 series. This quick scan evaluates three major health risks—heart health, blood vessel elasticity, and sleep snoring—using seven health indicators, including:

Blood oxygen levels (SpO2)
ECG measurements
Sleep Quality
Vascular age

This feature is designed for users who want a comprehensive health snapshot in just one minute, making it a standout tool for proactive health management.

4. Other Leaked Features and Specs

In addition to the health-focused features, leaks suggest that the OnePlus Watch 3 series will include:

A rotary dial for easier navigation.
Core specs similar to its predecessor, including:
- Snapdragon W5 chip
- 2GB of RAM
- 32GB of storage
- A battery larger than 500 mAh

The Watch 3 Pro is expected to offer even more advanced features, though details remain under wraps.

Will Older OnePlus Watches Get These Features?

While it’s possible that some of these features, like ECG and wrist temperature monitoring, could roll out to older models like the OnePlus Watch 2, the OnePlus Watch 3 series will likely debut these capabilities first.
