Finally, Lenovo is launching the Legion 5 with AMD Ryzen 4000H processors in India

Although it has been a year since the original announcement of AMD Ryzen 4000H processors, Lenovo wants to impress its fans with its Legion 5 RYZEN Edition

If you are a gaming laptop lover or a fan, then among the handful of gaming laptops launched with AMD Ryzen 4000H processors, Lenovo’s Legion 5 is one of the best to go for. However, the sad thing is Lenovo never made it available in India which has indeed hurt a lot of AMD fans out there.

Interestingly, Lenovo named its Legion 5 gaming laptop dedicated to the AMD variant whereas the Intel variant was named Legion 5i, that was launched months ago. The biggest reason why Lenovo was unable to bring the laptop earlier because of the COVID-19 pandemic that increased the demand for laptops and also made AMD’s time difficult in managing with the stocks of Ryzen 4000H processors.

Indeed, AMD Ryzen 4000 series changed the fate of AMD in the laptop market totally but also made fans unhappy due to the high prices and availability issues. Now, when AMD is about to launch its Ryzen 5000 series processors for mobile, in CES 2021, Lenovo is bringing the Legion 5 in India.

However, this could a great option for those who are looking for a new gaming laptop this holiday season. The Lenovo Legion 5 is identical to its Intel variant and having those powerful AMD chips makes it even more lucrative. Lenovo India’s recent cryptic tweet confirms the fact that it is going to bring the Legion 5 Ryzen Edition soon:

Specifications

The Legion 5 gaming laptop comes in two sizes – 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch variants but with the same Full HD (1920 x 1080) wide-viewing angle displays with 144Hz smooth refresh rate.

The gaming laptop will be powered by either the 8 core/ 16 threaded AMD Ryzen 7 4800H processor or by the 6 core/ 12 threaded AMD Ryzen 5 4600H processor. Lenovo says the display supports Dolby Vision and is paired with up to 16 GB 3200 MHz DDR4 memory, 1 TB PCIe SSD of storage.
