Samsung Galaxy F16 5G, M16 5G spotted on BIS certification

Samsung is reportedly on the verge of launching its next Galaxy F16 5G and Galaxy M16 5G smartphones in India since both the phones have just appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification database in the country. These listings suggest that the smartphones are set to launch soon in the country. These are also known as: SM-E166P/DS for Galaxy F16 5G and SM-M166P/DS for Galaxy M16 5G. The “DS” in the model numbers signifies that both devices will feature dual SIM card support.

Apart from the BIS certification, the Galaxy M16 5G was also recently sighted on the Wi-Fi Alliance certification platform, which indicated the device will offer dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity. Although the certification did not reveal the precise information about the Galaxy F16 5G, it is anticipated to be a rebranded version of the Galaxy M15 5G since the Galaxy F15 5G had an almost identical model number of SM-E156B/DS in India.

Detailed specs of the Galaxy M16 5G, which was recently sighted on Geekbench, have surfaced. It will be driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chip with an octa-core CPU consisting of 2.0GHz six cores and two higher clock speed 2.4GHz cores. It will be paired with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU for improved graphical performance. The Samsung Galaxy M16 5G will come with Android 14 and is expected to launch with 8GB of RAM.

Both the Samsung Galaxy F16 5G and Galaxy M16 5G are expected to share many of the same features and specifications, offering similar performance levels and connectivity options.
