Apple’s next 16-inch MacBook will come with an AMD exclusive RDNA 2 GPU

We already know that Apple has a new 16-ich MacBook Pro planned that will be launched soon. But sources claim it won’t be coming with Apple’s very own M1 chipset. Instead, the laptop may have an exciting piece of hardware inside. According to a leaker @TheGalox_, AMD will be delivering mobile RDNA 2 GPUs to Apple, and the GPUs will have no desktop counterparts.

Sources claim that Apple will most likely offer the next 16-inch MacBook Pro with the Radeon RX 6700 and RX 6700 XT. Both cards will build on AMD’s Navi 22 GPUs.This is not the first time we see Apple hog on exclusive chips from its partners, whether it may be AMD or Intel.

The current 16-inch MacBook Pro laptop is powered with the Radeon Pro 5600M. and it is the only notebook that offers that card. Thus it’s not hard to believe that the same case may be followed about the Radeon RX 6700 and RX 6700 XT.

The release date and other spec details of the next 16-inch MacBook Pro have not yet been made public by the company. But there are rumors that it would be launched by the end of December 2020. Many outlets claim that AMD will unveil the RX 6700 and RX 6700 XT desktop versions in January.

Thus we can only guess that the new 16-inch MacBook Pro will most likely be pushed to January 2021. With the launch of Apple’s very own M1 chipset, the company is soaring heights in the Notebook market. With more products lined-up to be launched and its exclusive deal with AMD to be unfolding real soon. It seems that 2021 will see a blast of various Apple products.
