Christian Eriksen has asked to leave Inter Milan after just 10 months of joining the Serie-A side. Inter Milan’s sporting director Giuseppe Marotta has confirmed the potential transfer.
The Danish midfielder left Tottenham Hotspurs after 7 years and joined Inter Milan last January. The 28-year-old midfielder has played 305 games for the London side and scored 69 goals.
He has faced a tough time in Italy. In his first 33 games for the Italian side, he has scored only 4. He is yet to score this season for Inter.
Inter Milan CEO, Beppe Marotta said, “Eriksen? If some player wants to leave the club, we don’t keep him. Christian is acting like a professional but in January we’ll decide about his future. There are no advanced talks with any club at the moment, we’ll see next weeks.”
“Conte responded in an expansive fashion. We can’t keep a player who at the moment is asking to be sold.”
“We will make the right evaluations. At the moment he’s available and Conte is using him in a way that is respectful of the club.”
“Offers? At the moment they have yet to arrive. Should that change we will try to find the right combination.”
Christian Eriksen was linked with Manchester United in January before he decided to join Inter Milan. If he finally leaves the club in January Manchester United may go for him as well. Some report suggests Manchester United and Inter Milan are willing to swap Eriksen with Fred.
