Intel Core Ultra 200U Arrow Lake CPUs Leak with New Cores

Intel’s Core Ultra 200U series of low-power Arrow Lake CPUs have had their specs prematurely leaked, confirming a new generation of Redwood and Crestmont cores. The details, which were shared by leaker @Jaykihn0 on X (formerly Twitter), are for four SKUs within the Intel Core Ultra 200U “Arrow Lake-U” line that caters to hardware aimed at mobile devices with TDPs of 12W, 15W and 28W.

The most premium of those will be the Intel Core Ultra 7 265U, packing in a total of 12 cores and 14 threads. Across the four SKUs, it’ll have a 2P+8E+2LP-E core configuration. In the case of the Core Ultra 7 265U, that would be a base of 3.4 GHz and peak turbo up to 5.3 GHz on P-cores while E-cores tap out at as high as 4.2 GHz.

The additional models are the Core Ultra 7 255U, Core Ultra 5 235U, and Core Ultra 5 225U. All will feature an Xe-LPG integrated GPU (iGPU) with 4 Xe-cores clocking up to 2100 MHz, 12 MB of L3 cache, and vPro options available for the 265U and 235U variants.

A key highlight is that these CPUs will use slightly modified versions of the Redwood Cove+ P-Cores and Crestmont Enhanced E-Cores, which are an update over the original Redwood Cove and Crestmont cores seen in Meteor Lake “Core Ultra Series 1” chips.

This indicates the Arrow Lake-U CPUs won’t be using newer Lion Cove or Skymont cores (for the consumer-relevant higher-end Arrow Lake models). Intel´s Lunar Lake platform, which offers those upgrades, is aimed at users of thin and light devices who are interested in newer architecture. Even the iGPU will be from Xe-LPG 1st Gen architecture instead of Xe-LPG+ which is the latest available for the Arrow Lake-H family. The Intel Arrow Lake-U “Core Ultra 200U” CPUs are expected to launch early next year, during CES 2025, alongside the Arrow Lake-H and HX series.
