iPhone SE 4 Camera Production to Begin for March 2025 Launch

Apple is believed to be preparing the release of the iPhone SE 4, arriving sometime in early 2025 as a new mid-range option in Apple’s SE family.

Apple has not officially announced anything regarding the new device, however, AJU News reports that one of the company’s suppliers, LG Innotek will start mass-producing camera parts for the iPhone SE 4 starting in December. That fits Apple’s standard production timeline of camera modules reaching the company 3 months before a new phone is expected to launch.

If that timeline holds, the iPhone SE 4 would likely be announced no sooner than March 2025, following a similar pattern to the third-generation iPhone SE which was unveiled in March 2022. The iPhone SE 4 should come with a series of updates including an OLED screen. It will have a 6.06-inch LTPS OLED display with 1,170 x 2,532 pixels with higher contrast and saturated colors than the LCD of its predecessor. It will also boast a peak brightness of 800 nits and feature a notch at the top for the TrueDepth camera and Face ID sensors.

Internally, the iPhone SE 4 is said to be powered by Apple’s A18 chip with 8GB of RAM, which should make for a more powerful and efficient device than before. It is further touted to pack a 48-megapixel rear camera like its iPhone 15 counterpart bringing better photo and video quality. It could also feature the Apple Intelligence for the next level of AI features.

The iPhone SE 4 is also rumored to incorporate a 3,279mAh battery with the same 20W USB-PD charging rate and support for 15W MagSafe and Qi2 wireless charging. If these rumors are accurate, the iPhone SE 4 will bring several high-end features to the SE series, making it a highly anticipated model for those seeking an affordable yet powerful iPhone.
