Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0 Unveiled: Enhanced Features and Rollout Roadmap Announced

Xiaomi 15 series was launched alongside the company introducing to us HyperOS 2.0, which will soon be rolled out to various Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones and tablets. This new custom operating system is designed to enhance user experience through three primary focuses: HyperCore, HyperConnect, and HyperAI. While much of the effort behind HyperCore centers around optimizing overall system performance and stability, it is also focused on improving graphics, network capabilities, as well as security.

There are optimized over 25,000 scenarios according to Xiaomi. HyperCore kernel introduces a microarchitecture scheduler based on an analysis of the instruction pipelines from the architecture within the chipset lowering idle CPU time while improving task cycles and memory latency by 19%. There is a dynamic AI-powered lock screen that generates wallpapers based on the theme that is also introduced in HyperOS 2.0.nThe new desktop also provides visual tweaks as well as customizable content along with a new improved set of widgets. Users will experience less jagged edges when using notifications or browsing through the interface. Real-life atmosphere representation with a 3D weather system is to increase users’ interest.

HyperConnect connects your phone and tablet with a windowed feature to control your phone through your tablets. This includes a cross-device clipboard that allows you to copy-paste among devices, as well as dual-camera streaming from one device to the other. In addition, HyperConnect works with Apple devices in Mainland China and works on Xiaomi devices to browse files, share photos, and view Keynote, Pages, and Numbers files.

HyperAI enhances the user experience by analyzing selected videos frame by frame, creating cinematic depth effects for lock screens. AI-generated content can animate static wallpapers of cities, plants, and more. Additional features include AI Magic for transforming sketches into paintings, AI writing tools for text refinement, and AI sound recognition for transcribing audio in calls and recordings. With other improvements such as reduced app launch delays and enhanced heart rate measurement accuracy on smartwatches, HyperOS 2.0 promises a significant upgrade for Xiaomi and Redmi users.
