SuperGaming Unveils ‘Clutch India Movement’ with India’s Biggest Esports Tournament – The Indus International Tournament
A Game-Changing Esports Tournament for India
The Indus International Tournament is the centerpiece of SuperGaming’s plan to elevate India’s presence on the global esports stage. Divided into four competitive phases, this tournament not only offers a chance for seasoned professionals to shine but also provides a platform for emerging talent to make their mark in the competitive gaming world.
The tournament follows the recent announcement of Indus, SuperGaming’s much-awaited Indo-futuristic battle royale game, which will launch on October 16, 2024, for both iOS and Google Play Store users in India. The tournament builds excitement for the game, creating an ideal launchpad for aspiring esports players.
Supporting India’s Growing Esports Ecosystem
SuperGaming’s commitment to fostering grassroots talent has been evident through previous tournaments like Grudge Wars, Indus Inferno, and Indus Unchained. The Clutch India Movement furthers this mission by offering a structured platform where rising stars can compete with the best and aim for global recognition.
Roby John, CEO and Co-founder of SuperGaming, shared his excitement:
“When we set out to create Indus, our goal was to craft a game that Indian gamers could truly call their own. With the Indus International Tournament, we want to see new heroes rise from our community and take their place in the larger esports ecosystem. India is ready to compete on the world stage, and we believe this tournament will inspire a new generation of players to pursue professional gaming.”
Indus International Tournament Phases and Prize Pools
The tournament features four exciting phases, each designed to showcase different levels of gaming talent:
- Homegrown Phase: Starting on November 6, 2024, with a prize pool of INR 15 lakhs, this phase is open to emerging players, offering them a chance to break into the competitive scene.
- Nationals: With INR 10 lakhs up for grabs, the Nationals phase will challenge the best from across India, running from December 2024.
- Powerplay Phase: Targeting professional esports teams, this phase offers a ₹25 lakhs prize pool and promises fierce competition among established teams.
- International Phase: Featuring global teams, this phase will run from November 15 to December 30, 2024, leading to the Grand Finale, where the top 15 teams will compete for the massive ₹2 crore prize pool.
Grand Finale and MVP Award
The Grand Finale of the Indus International Tournament will be the ultimate battleground, where the best of the best will compete for the top prize. To make the competition even more exciting, the Most Valuable Player (MVP) will drive home in a brand-new Mahindra Thar, adding a thrilling incentive to the already fierce competition.
Beyond the Tournament: Growing India’s Esports Scene
In addition to the Indus International Tournament, SuperGaming is planning the Indus International Mahasangram in October 2025, further cementing its dedication to growing India’s esports ecosystem. SuperGaming is also empowering third-party tournament organizers by providing them with Indus’ proprietary tools, allowing for seamless hosting of community-driven events.
The aim is clear: to nurture and grow India’s pool of esports talent and place the country firmly on the global esports map.
