The much-awaited trailer of director TJ Gnanavel’s action drama, Vettaiyan starring “superstar” Rajinikanth has finally been released on YouTube and it gives a sneak peek with the promise of more for every fan out there. The 159-second long teaser builds upon a large crowd that comes together in a wide chorus of voices demanding justice for a woman, held as representative of all similar grievances that emerged across the nation. A woman’s voiceover emphasizes, “In this country, women have no safety; but scoundrels do.”

The police try hard to arrest the culprit, but their investigations reach a dead end due to lack of evidence leading them to look at an encounter strategy.
