Earlier this year, Nokia has launched its first 5G smartphone Nokia 8.3 5G, now HMD Global is going to launch a new 5G smartphone- Nokia 8V 5G UW. The company is going to launch this phone in the US for the first time on November 9.
This phone will support the carrier’s speedy and ultra wide-band network. The ‘V’ stands for the device is headed for Verizon Wireless, we have seen the same pattern in Nokia 2V nad 3V smartphones which are made for the US operator. The UW is a marketing term the carrier uses for its 6GHz mmWave 5G network Let’s check out the features of this upcoming 5G device.
The Nokia 8V UW will sport a 6.8-inches Full HD hole-punch display. We are not confirmed whether this upcoming phone is just a rebranded of Nokia 8.3.
Recently, this upcoming phone has also been spotted on the GeekBench database, revealing some key specifications like the processor used, processor’s clock speed, storage configurations, and etc.
According to GeekBench listing, the Nokia 8 V 5G UW will be powered by Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor(the listing is not revealing about the exactly used processor), but according to a reliable tipster, this phone will have Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765 SoC and this phone will run on Android 10. The SoC will be equipped with 6GB RAM. The processor clocked at 1.89GHz.
The camera setup of this phone is fairly standard for a mid-range device. There is no confirmation about the camera setup of this phone. On the front side, there will be a teardrop cutout on the display to hold the selfie camera.
Regarding the other information, this upcoming 5G device will be supported by a decent battery backup of 4,500 mAh. But the supportive charging speed is not revealed yet. The phone also has a 3.5mm earphone jack.
