Donny Van De Beek’s performance against RB Leipzig again caught the eye of Manchester United fans. Manchester United won against the Bundesliga leader, RB Leipzig in the midweek’s UEFA Champions League tie.

Donny Van De Beek joined Manchester United from Ajax in last summer. After joining the Red Devils, he has not got enough game time to show his full potential. But he showed his presence and became influential every time he was on the field. He scored in his Premier League debut against Crystal Palace after coming on as a substitute.

Manchester United fans and some legends want him to play more. But United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is not in a mood to change his plans. He always admitted that Donny Van De Beek is one of the most influential players of the squad and his presence in the team is equally important.

Solskjaer put him in starting XI in the UCL tie against RB Leipzig. He has covered the second-highest distance in that match after Fred. “Donny is a fantastic boy. You see the work he puts down.”, Ole said after the match.

There are some interesting statistics to follow as well. Manchester United has scored 5 of their 9 Premier League goals when Donny Van De Beek was on the pitch. It suggests how Van De Beek helps in the team’s overall performance.

The Dutch midfielder is an excellent passer and a tidy midfielder who barely loses possession. He can be the missing puzzle for Solskjaer to claim a trophy this season.
