Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to sign for Marseille for €14 million

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is set to join Marseille from Tottenham, with a deal in place between the two clubs. The midfielder was not going to sign a new deal with Spurs, and it promoted the club to part ways with him.

A conversation with new head coach Roberto De Zerbi was crucial in convincing the player to make the move. And now, it is set to be finalised in the coming days once the formalities have been completed.

The Denmark international has not always had it smooth during his time in London. After impressing at Southampton, he eventually earned a move to Spurs to great fan reaction.

And while he has played an important role during his time at the club, fans remain divided over his impact. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg played 184 games for the Lilywhites in four years, scoring 10 goals and providing 16 assists.

Now, at 28, he could begin a new chapter of his career under an exciting manager like Roberto De Zerbi. It remains to be seen when his move is officially announced by both clubs.
