Mukesh Ambani backed Reliance Jio has made some amazing revenue figures for the quarter that ended on September 2020. The subsidiary of the Reliance Industries has managed to gross ₹2,844 crore, which is an increase of 185% year-on-year for the Q2FY21.
Not many companies have received the COVID-19 pandemic in a positive way, however, Reliance Jio did manage to not only grab ₹ 152,056 crore investment, but also, post a profit of ₹2,844 crore. It also managed to grab a consolidated net profit of ₹ 3,020 crore, which is almost 19.8% increase than last quarter.
The net profit was ₹2,520 crore in the June quarter and this marks another sequential increase in profits over each quarter. The gross revenue for the last quarter ended in with a sequential growth of 5.9% for a total of ₹17,481 crore.
The consolidated revenue from operations, including access revenues, grew by 7.2% to ₹ 18,496 crore. The ARPU during the last quarter was ₹ 145.0 per subscriber per month, a healthy increase from last quarter’s ₹140.3 ARPU or average revenue per user.
The total wireless data traffic during the quarter was 1,442 crore GB whereas the total voice traffic during the quarter was 93,223 crore minutes. Obviously the spike in revenue and usage is mostly due to the fact people have shifted online form of education to work, helping Jio to broaden its services for customers.
